Campaign for Hope

The annual Campaign for Hope runs from January through December to raise unrestricted funds in support of all of East House’s programs and services. Gifts may be made via cash, check or credit card. Donate here to make your gift today.

Stock Gifts

Gifts to East House may also be made via stock, allowing the donor to enjoy additional tax savings. If you transfer stock that has been held for more than a year and has appreciated in value, East House can sell the stock, and you will avoid tax on the gain.

Honorary Gifts

Make a donation in honor of a loved one or special friend for any occasion, such as a birthday, promotion, holiday or anniversary. Honorary gifts may be unrestricted or designated to a particular area or program at East House. The honoree will be notified of the gift by East House.

Memorial Gifts

Remember loved ones by making a gift to East House in their memory. These gifts may also be unrestricted or designated to a particular area or program at East House.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations sponsor matching gift programs that match, double or even triple an employee’s gift to East House. For additional information or for a matching gift form, check with your company’s Human Resources office.

Special Events

Each year, East House presents the Hope & Recovery Luncheon giving corporations and individuals the opportunity to make a difference while enjoying a great event. A range of sponsorship opportunities are available. Attendees may purchase individual tickets or tables of 10 to have the opportunity to hear entertaining and insightful speakers discuss mental health issues while meeting others who also share an interest in the work of East House.

United Way

Donors to the United Way may designate their annual gifts to East House. To designate to East House, indicate #436 on your United Way form.

Roc the Day

The second annual ROC the Day event will take place on December 12, 2012, providing another opportunity to make a gift to East House during this 24-hour philanthropy event.

Planned Giving

There are a number of options available to give a planned gift to East House, including listing East House as a beneficiary in your will, insurance policy or pension plan. Individuals who make a planned gift to East House via their wills are inducted into the Founder’s Society. Additional planned gift options include establishing a charitable remainder trust or making a gift of property. Please consult your financial and legal advisors when considering a planned gift.

Pooled Life Income

East House, in collaboration with Rochester Area Community Foundation (RACF) offers a Pooled Life Income Fund that provides donors with both lifetime income and a tax deduction for a charitable gift of securities or cash into a pooled fund. Quarterly payments are made to the donor or the designated beneficiary for life. After the lifetime of the individual, the gift provides a legacy to East House. In-kind donations

Products and services are a great alternative when considering ways to help East House. Items that will help clients to interview for a job, furnish an apartment or enjoy a healthy lifestyle are greatly appreciated. Donations of printing, flower arrangements and food and beverages for events are also welcome.

Volunteering

Services provided by East House are greatly enhanced by the time and talent of volunteers. Opportunities include helping with special events and serving on agency committees. The Paul Wolk Learning Center also welcomes tutors for literacy training, reading and math comprehension and basic computer skills. Other options are available based on individual needs and interest.
