ACCES – VR

Formerly known as VESID, ACCES – VR stands for Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation, a division of the New York State Department of Education.  Through ACCES – VR, adults with certain diagnosed disabilities can work on their vocational and educational goals. Please note that not everyone with a disability is eligible for ACCES – VR.  The East House Career Services team is skilled in assessing eligibility and offers ACCES – VR Orientation for those seeking services. At this orientation, counselors will explain ACCES-VR services and the application process. Following orientation, Career Services staff will submit your eligibility paperwork to ACCES-VR who will make the final decision on eligibility.  To sign up for an ACCES-VR Orientation session, please contact East House Career Services at careerservices(at)easthouse.org or call 585.238.4800.

Once you are involved with ACCES-VR, you will be eligible for other East House contracted services such as vocational assessment, job placement and retention services.
