N.E.A.R.
NEAR (Neuropsychological and Educational Approaches to Remediation) is cognitive rehabilitation which re-engages clients diagnosed with mental illness in activity that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking. Clients report they feel “awake,” “alert,” “more confident” and “more comfortable with other people” after participating in the program. They have used NEAR as the starting point to regain their independence and move on to independent living, employment and to return to education.
