Chamique Holdsclaw
WNBA All-Star Athlete, NCAA Champion, Olympian and Mental Health Advocate
Award-winning basketball player, Chamique Holdsclaw has had an incredible career. She played for the Women’s Basketball University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers and Hall of Fame Coach Pat Summit leading the Lady Vols to three straight NCAA Championships, a first in Women’s College Basketball history. Chamique would go on to be the #1 Pick in the 1999 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics, won the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award, made six WNBA All-Star appearances and won an Olympic Gold Medal at the 2000 Sydney Games on Team USA. What many may not know is that Chamique is also in recovery from depression and currently serves as an ambassador with the JED Foundation. East House is honored to welcome her for our 2023 Celebration of Hope & Recovery.
